"Students from kindergarten to high school need to understand their responsibilities for the future. Outreach has been a huge part of my life experience and I know the positive impact those who are in the public eye and have made positive life choices can have on our youth."

(New York, for sale NY–June 10th, 2012)— On Friday, June 8th, community activist Gio visited the PS 189 to mingle with 1,000 kids and their parents at the Cultural Unity Day. The principal accepted Team Gio’s offer to make a speech to the the graduating students.

“I was so excited to know my music effectively resonates with the youth!”, generic shares Gio. “It feels amazing! That’s success in my eyes! I was more than pleased to learn that one of the dancers from the “Feed Your Mind School Campaign”, Joel “Moose Brown” Joseph, is a top honor student attending this school. I was so proud to see his hard work paying off for the #upmovement!”

She adds: “I have high hopes that the community will support this movement and help us take this to the next level next year! I have online products where 100 % of the proceeds go to the “Feed Your Mind Campaign”. I need everyone to support a positive movement reenergizing our communities to plant the right seeds and create a strong foundation supporting the great minds of the future!”

Exercise and Get Right

I headed to Bally Sports in Bay Shore Long Island recently as part of my regular community involvement activities and decided to get my Zumba-on. While there, I talked to teenagers and adults about staying healthy and the importance of exercising. Got to get right for the summer it’s part of the #upmovement. Big Thanks to Bally Sports, the instructor and my close friend Eli, and the DJ who played my dancehall smash “Dorthy Gyal Nyce” . You need to download it to your iPod if you haven’t already and get your work-out to prepare for these summer barbeques.
